Life Line Screening – Helps Prevent Major Catastrophic Illness

Life Line Screening (LLS)is more than preventative; it is a lifesaving testing. Dr. Andy Manganaro, Chief Medical Officer of Life Line Screening, is proud of the commitment LLS has made in the thousands of lives they have helped to make healthier through preventive testing.

There are three specific health screenings performed through LLS:

Ultrasound Screenings Consist of:

  • Ultrasound Screenings
  • Finger-Stick Blood Screenings
  • Limited Electrocardiograph

Sound wave imaging of various parts and organs of the body. Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves that record the echoes transmitted by different organs in the body and vascular system indicating blood flow through arteries and and proper function of organs.

Finger-Stick Blood Screening

Simple finger-stick blood screenings can identify specific factors of heart disease and diabetes. Blood screenings are simple tests yet accurate and used throughout hospitals, doctor’s offices, and accepted by insurance companies as results oriented testing. Blood screenings are excellent indicators of cholesterol levels, glucose levels, C-reactive protein, and elevated liver enzymes. Click here to know more.

Limited Electrocardiograph

Excellent means of detecting atrial fibrillation. An irregular heartbeat is common in many people, but unidentified irregular heartbeats can be catastrophic and increase the risk of a stroke if it goes unnoticed.

Life Line Screening is an inexpensive means of preventive health care. LLS is non-invasive, quick, and thorough. The test results are given to the patient as a record of testing results. The patient is encouraged to share these test results with their primary care physician.

LLS has a commitment to its patients to help them live healthier, active lives. Dr. Manganaro began working as a physician reviewer at LLS in the year 2000 and continues today as the Chief Medical Officer and National Medical Director. Dr. Manganaro’s commitment to medical science continues today encouraging preventive health screening to be available to everyone.
