Dr. Jennifer Walden Describes How Plastic Surgery Can Turn Back Time

Dr. Jennifer Walden who is a plastic surgeon that is certified by the American Board of plastic surgeons was recently on Studio 512 where she discussed plastic surgery. Studio 512 Studios is a news affiliate of NBC News that covers the Austin, Texas area. During her appearance Dr. Jennifer Walden discussed how plastic surgery can turn back years of time when it comes to appearance.

During her interview Dr. Jennifer Walden discussed two specific plastic surgery procedures that can create a more youthful appearance. These are facelifts or rhytidectomies and rhinoplasties or nose jobs. Below are some of the details that Dr. Jennifer Walden discussed with regards to these procedures and their impact on a person’s looks.

Jennifer Walden began describing facelifts by saying that natural elements such as the skin, forces of gravity and everyday wear and tear can all impact our face and neck. Signs of aging include creases near the mouth, a lower collapsing jawline and loose folds and fat deposits accumulating on the neck. Facelifts help to reduce the effect of these natural signs of aging by tightening your muscles, getting rid of fat deposits and removing away excess skin. This creates a more younger looking and healthier appearance.

Dr. Walden says that a facelift from a plastic surgeon can make you look up to 10 to 15 years younger. It is useful against the following conditions such as saggy areas of fat on the neck, creases under the eyes, facial sagging, collapsing jaw lines and loose skin under the chin. If you have any of these conditions, a facelift can literally work wonders and completely change your appearance says Jennifer Walden.

Rhinoplasties or nose jobs were also discussed by Jennifer Walden on air. She says that rhinoplasties can be done for both medical and aesthetic purposes. Medical reasons for having a rhinoplasty include difficulty breathing, nose injuries or birth defects. Aesthetically, rhinoplasties are done to either change the shape of the nose or make it smaller. Most rhinoplasties are done under anesthesia. In her own practice, Dr. Jennifer Walden says she uses 3D imaging to let patients see what kind of result they will have from their nose job. It also allows them to have some input on what kind of nose they want after the procedure.
